Paly's Black Student Union is hosting a Black Excellence Showcase, in honor of Black History Month.The event occurs tonight in the MAC from 5:30pm-7:00pm; featuring an evening of music, dance and spoken word. A light dinner will be served. The Gunn High School Film Club is hosting a movie night today at 6:00pm in the Titan Gym to celebrate Gunn's mental health awareness week! Students can order one on the Paly webstore, http://palywebstore.myschoolcentral.com, or go to the ASB bookkeeper's office in the Tower Building between 9am-12:30pm. Cash, check, debit cards, and credit cards are acceptable. Students who aren't sure if they ordered a book can contact the ASB Bookkeeper, Fatima Giffen at fgiffen@pausd.org, or stop by her office in the tower building. Two donation boxes are set up in rooms 218 and 804 to benefit the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota for a student's AAR project. On March 8th at the Mitchell Park Community Center, Castilleja is hosting a conference for teens on political discourse online. The conference, Democracy Online, is a free opportunity for bay area students to hear new perspectives, learn from experts and meet new people.
