There will be a boys soccer preseason meeting at the El Camino field bleachers at lunch on Tuesday, October 1, to go over tryouts. If students have questions prior to the meeting, they should stop by Room 812. The national Deej Inclusion Tour is holding a local event with the award-winning documentary, DEEJ, about autism and inclusion. As part of the tour, there will be a screening of Deej at Paly's Haymarket theatre on Thursday, October 10th at 6:30 PM for all community members, as well as an exlcusive 4 PM showing for PAUSD educators. The events will be free and open to the public.
As a reminder to all Paly seniors, senior portraits and baby ads are due October 11th. The Silicon Valley Jewish Film Festival is looking for students interested in film and storytelling to volunteer as Ushers during the Festival in Palo Alto. The Festival takes place October 28th through November 6th at Palo Alto Square. The festival also welcomes anyone to see any of the 31 films screening over the three weeks. There are group rates available if you purchase 10 or more tickets. For more information, please go to the link on screen. There are a lot of colleges visiting over the next couple days. Southern Oregon University comes today at 2:05. St. Olaf college visits tomorrow at 9:05 AM, and also tomorrow, Boston University will be here at 10:05 and Wheaton College will be on campus at 1. On Friday, School of the Art Institute of Chicago will visit at 1:00. Students should make sure to get a pass from the College and Career Center in order to attend a visit.
